The Head
With the « purple » yarn. This pattern is worked in continuous rounds.

Round 1 : 6 sc in a MC [6]
Round 2 : 6 inc [12]
Round 3 : (sc, inc) x6 [18]
Round 4 : (sc, inc, sc) x6 [24]
Round 5 : (3sc, inc) x6 [30]
Round 6 : (2sc, inc, 2sc) x6 [36]
Round 7 : (5sc, inc) x6 [42]
Round 8 : (3sc, inc, 3sc) x6 [48]
Round 9 – 15 : 48 sc [48]
Round 16 : (3sc, dec, 3sc) x6 [42]
Round 17 : (5sc, dec) x6 [36]
Round 18 : (2sc, dec, 2sc) x6 [30]
Round 19 : (3sc, dec) x6 [24]
Round 20 : (sc, dec) x8 [16]
Insert the eyes between rounds 12 and 13, 8 stitches apart.
Embroider the mouth between rounds 13 and 14.
Stuff the head.

Round 21 : BLO (sc, normal-dec, sc) x4 [12]
Round 22 : 6 dec [6]
Finish with a slst, then close the circle.

The Tentacles

Start with the « purple » yarn, then switch to « white » yarn on every other tentacle.
Starting from Round 21, insert the hook into the front loop only.

Round 21 : ch 20, in the second stitch from the hook 1 sc, (2 dc) x18, FLO 1 sc
Continue with the other 7 tentacles, alternating colors.

Round 21 (continuation) : FLO 1 sc, ch 20, in the second stitch from the hook 1 sc, (2 dc) x18, FLO 1 sc
Finish with a slst in the front loop of the first stitch.
Cut the yarn.

The Star
With the « white » yarn

Round 1 : 10 sc in a MC [10]
Round 2 : ((dc, ch 2, slst), slst) x5
Cut the yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Sew the star onto the side of the head.
